Alicia’s always known she’s different–that she can recognize the mischievous fae when they show up to “play” with the humans. Only now she’s faced with one highly annoyed dark fae and she’s certain he knows the truth about her. She can see him, which means her life is forfeit.
Add to that, his sister arrives, who wants to play, too. And their mother, the queen of the Denkar, will want Alicia’s head, once she learns what Alicia can do.
And all because Alicia was attempting to rescue her friend, Cassie, on their beach excursion at South Padre Island, from the wicked fae. Now, Alicia has really gone and done it–and she’s thinking she should have let the fae have his fun. Her friend’s broken heart would be a lot easier to deal with, than Alicia losing her life.
But it is too late for regrets. As soon as she threw the soda at the dark fae’s chest, she had declared war on the fae. And he is happy to take up the challenge.
Reviews:
“The Dark Fae was not at all what I expected but in a good way. The twists and turns with Alicia & Deveron’s characters were very enteraining. I love to read about the Mischevious Fae and I look forward to reading more from Ms Spear!!! I highly recommend giving this one a try.” Lady Vamp
“I truly enjoyed the world of faeries that Ms. Spear created in The Dark Fae. The world building was well done, the character’s strong and the story kept me coming back for more.” RomWriter-Reader
“I was a bit speechless when i finished. I read it in one sitting. . .and just wow. I recommend this book for everyone. Looooved it. I guess it could use maybe a little more romantic scenes (Of at least them getting to know each other more). But other than that, no complaints. Terry Spear is brilliant! And I can’t wait to see what her other books are like.” Vera64
“I really did not think that I would like this book. I was wanting to pass time and bought this on a whim. I enjoyed the story and the characters. They were fun and likable and the book was a quick and easy read. I wish there had been a bit more of a darker side to this story but overall I did enjoy it. I will read the rest in this series mainly because it is a nice change of pace when wanting a simple book to read. It is somewhat lighthearted and maybe a little predictable but that isn’t always a bad thing, especially if the characters are as fun as these.” Skyhaven
Guest Blog on The World of Fae at Alive and Knitting, New York Times Best Selling Deborah Cooke aka Claire Delacroix, fantasy and romance author:
My guest today is Terry Spear, a writer I’ve only met virtually. We were both members of a joint blog a few years ago, called Shapeshifter Romance, which was where we first “met”. Since then, we’ve crossed paths a number of times out there in cyberspace, so it’s probably only a matter of time until we meet in real life. Terry is a wonderful, smart, prolific author, and I’m looking forward to learning more about her today.
And now, please welcome Terry!
The World of Fae
by Terry Spear
You might believe that everything that could go wrong and does go wrong is just fate. But what if it’s more than that? What if the myths and legends about the fae are true? What if you can see them, too?
That’s what Alicia believes when her father leaves her with a journal and clues about the fae. She is a fae seer. Which means if any of the fae know the truth, she’s toast.
So when one of THE DARK FAE hits on her girlfriend at South Padre Island, she has a choice—stop and save her friend from heartbreak, or save her own skin and let the fae have his wicked way.
Only she can’t. Honor bound, she’s got to save her friend.
All those times that you stumbled and fell, or felt parts of your body falling asleep, or found your dinner at a restaurant was sent to another table—maybe it had nothing to do with you at all—but all to do with the fae.
The fae are mischievous, pranksters, wicked and loving, too. And they live among us, when they feel the need to play a trick or two.
In THE DEADLY FAE, Lady Sessily, one of the dark fae, doesn’t care to mix it up with humans much, as she is an assassin, attempting to retire, and is too busy for fun and games. But when a cobra fae tries to hire her for a job and won’t take no for an answer, she hasn’t much choice. Or at least that’s what he thinks and the games begin.
And then THE WINGED FAE causes mischief in South Padre Island in the dark fae-owned territory. One dark fae takes it upon himself to stop the intriguing winged fae, and she turns his world upside down. Not that the dark fae don’t cause troubles for the humans when they try to paint over the graffiti she has drawn on one of the walls, but when the fae target each other…well, the humans get a break for a while, until the fae return to have more fun at their expense.
So the next time your foot falls asleep, or you stumble over a crack, or a book slips out of your hand, just remember, it might have nothing to do with you, but all to do with the fae.
THE ANCIENT FAE was just released!
